If you want to do your best in Event Horizon, I have some suggestions that could get you those extra points.
Painting
- Make sure all your models are painted.
- Bases - make sure you Sergeants, Heros, etc are on nice bases and stand out from the group. Use Back to Bases-ix or Iron Halo bases if you do not want to make your own bases.
- Painting - once you have painted your army (PREREQUISITE) spend some more time to give your models highlight and shadings. Your army will look great and it dramatically increase your painting score .
- Have a display board/fluffy banner/cool objectives - this will be the easiest points you can earn and it will be useful in the future.
- Make sure you have one special model that you have put in the effort, eg. Special character, Commander, Tyrant, etc. Because we will ask you to nominate one of your model for the single model category.
Sportsmanship
- Respect others
- Control your emotions - just because the dice are not going your way, does not mean you can throw dice or yell at people.
- Play clean, don't cheat - your integrity is more important than a game of mandollies, remember that.
Battle
- Practice the missions
- Practice against other armies
- Practice using other armies
- Read and remember all the rules and codexes
